Reactivated Sludge Pump System for College in Lincoln, PA

Challenge:

Provide, install, and program new MicroLogix PLC controls and PanelView touchscreen for return activated sludge pump system. 

Solution:

Our upgrade provided better unattended pump operation and better protection for run-dry and overflow problems. Flow setpoint, valve positioning, and VFD speed control all served to control this flow loop. Flow totalization was added. Provision for detection of clogs and provision to ‘bump’ the clogs loose, or failover to auxiliary pump were also programmed.

Sludge Dehydrator System for Municipality in CT

Challenge:

Programming and start-up sludge dehydrator system. 

Solution:

PLC and HMI programming services were provided to convert a Honeywell C200 to ControlLogix CPU and HMI programs.

Controls for WWTP Expansion for Beverage Provider in Allentown, PA 

Challenge:

An aseptic bottler needed to upgrade, expand capacity, and improve their wastewater treatment system before discharge to township.

Solution:

We added a new control panel with motor controllers, CompactLogix PLC, and PanelView Plus touchscreen. We also provided Endress + Houser instrumentation. In order to meet regulatory requirements we provided data acquisition and a historical logger. Drawings, startup, and commissioning were provided. We enlarged the system during a subsequent treatment expansion years later.
